When will macOS and Windows downloads be available?

Release builds ship here as they pass QA. macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Windows 11 x64 are first. Join the waitlist at [email protected] if you need early access for a team rollout.

Do I need an account before downloading?

No. You can install and run locally on Starter without signing in. Sign in when you want cloud sync, managed providers, or a paid plan.

What is the difference between the desktop app and cloud?

The desktop app keeps your encrypted SQLite database on your machine, runs agents locally, and supports BYOK. Cloud sync and team workspaces add shared tables, audit logs, and managed enrichment — optional upgrades on Pro and Team.

Can I use Appenda offline?

Yes for local tables and edits. Agents, provider enrichment, and cloud sync need internet. Your data stays on disk when you are offline; sync catches up when you reconnect.

How do app updates work?

Desktop builds auto-check for updates on launch once releases are live. We ship signed installers for macOS and Windows; release notes appear on this page and in the app.
